Three strategies help you protect your teeth better

Healthy Smiles for the kids of Orange County, one of several largest nonprofit dental health providers, suggests these resolutions for the family that you follow inside the new year to inspire good teeth's health and stop decay.

1.Eat Dental-Loving Foods
With an abundance of fresh foods available, snacks and meals might be naturally delicious, giving kids a good amount of energy to learn and play, and protect their gums and teeth. Here are great options to pack in kids lunches, too:
Fun-to-eat crunchy vegetables with a flavorful dip
Low-fructose fruit, for instance apples, pears, grapes and strawberries
Low-fat yogurt or string cheese
Graham crackers
Hard-boiled eggs
Bite-size sandwiches made with whole-grain bread and chicken
A good amount of water to keep hydrated and wash away sugar and acids
2. Brushing
Brush teeth 2-3 times per day, no less than after breakfast and before you go to bed, for a couple minutes whenever. After snacking, rinse with water ¡§C swish and swallow or spit ¡§C if brushing isn’t convenient. Use a pea-size dab of toothpaste with a soft, dry brush.
